Corrected Cast Info For Glamorama Movie

IMDB finally corrected the casting information for Roger Avary's adaptation of Glamorama to film. For quite a while now, they've been showing a handful of castmembers - including Robert Blake (currently standing trial for murder) - even though nobody has been cast for the movie yet. Oh, and yes, I know the casting info is blank - thats why its correct. :)

have you gone into the IMBD message boards for Glam-o-rama? it's hilarious reading everyone's speculations and theories on who should be cast. even tho the cast list has finally been corrected (as blank) people are still obsessing over the old fake list. lord.

I honestly think Sussan Sossamon(Lauren4rm ROA) would be perfect for lauren. Now for victor...someone well built(hes a model),kinda tall and blonde hair?
    WHo? I dont know!
Pick someone who resembles the character from the book.No more cheap ass movies>PLEASE.

i couldnt think of a good victor either.. i dont think shannon sossamon would be a good lauren.. because then victore would have to be kip parude.. what about that guy from sex and the city..

I think it's pretty clear that Kip is going to play Victor, he's said in interviews that the reason he did Victor in ROA was to gear him up for playing Victor in Glamorama.

In response to the cast, Val Kilmer, is definitely Victor, the cast should be a little older than (roa's),

Roger Avary says on the ROA commentary that he and Kip have a contract for Glamorama, which is a pitty, because i think Johnny Depp would do a fine job

kip parude would do fine. makes it just likes the books; characters interlink with the novels. Thus making it more appealing and non-confusing when the movie is realeased.

Me too knew Pardue's going to play Victor. I couldn't see ROA movie yet (cause I'm from Italy) so I can't express if that's a pity, but having looked at photoes I guess he's not the best Victor they could find.(I always thought Kyle McLachlan should have been a perfect Patrick Bateman, don't you think?)

I think Kip will do a great job, I really see him as Victor, he has a very model-esque look to him. I think he fits the part well.

i just finished reading glamorama half an hour ago, i was just blown away. i hadn't seen any easton ellis books or adaptations, but after seeing avary's ROA, and seeing what a totally good job he did with it, i've been totally hooked. as an aspiring filmmaker myself i understand the difficulty of the process. i trust what avary's going to do with glamorama, it's a hell of an undertaking, due to the "epic" capacity of brets ever twisting plot. goodluck roger... oh, could someone clarify, is it going to be called glamorama or glitterati?

I dont like Kip for Victor, never did. I never thought about it but I agree johnny depp could portray the right attitude... he is too old but doesnt look it. victor would be hard to cast...

all I know is... the christian bale look alike should be a cameo of the man himself. of course, this would conflict with who would play the patrick bateman cameo, though I doubt avary would even put that in.

well, regardless I hope its a great movie. roa wasnt good, so my expectations arent high. either way, im going to remake it someday and it will be better.

    Uh...rutherford...ROA is an Ellis adaptation.

Victor is in his early twenties...think kutcher would be up for it?

How about Jared Leto as Victor? It plays as a running pun on his part in American Psycho and he is mentioned in Glamorama.

Ashton Kutcher? i'd rather die than see Ashton Kutcher play an Ellis role.

Kip Pardue played Victor in "The Rules of Attraction". Hence it's only natural that he should play Victor in "Glamorama". If he didn't play Victor, it wouldn't be true to this collaborative movie world that Bret Easton Ellis and Roger Avary are trying to create. Continuity is a value that I hold most sacred.

    [19] On Apr-25-2004, mike wrote:

hahaha Kat I agree with you about Kutcher.. I don't think Kip Pardue looks like a good fit for Victor but we didn't see much of him in TROA and his narrative of his trip to Europe was good. I think Avery probably knows what hes doing even though physically Kip does not look the part of Victor in my opinion. I think Shannon Doherty being Jamie Fields is upsetting. And I heard Jennifer Garner as chloe??

    [20] On Apr-27-2004, chad wrote:

I know for continuity sake Kip Pardue should be playing Victors part...but yuck! I wasn't that impressed with him in ROA...now Ian Somerhalder (Paul) is PERFECT! A little dark in the features I suppose, but damn, that boy is awesome! He's got the look, the attitude, the talent. And bring Shannon Sosyman back- she's fierce. Just no more Van Der Beek!!

Where the hell is everyone. I know more than 20 people read this book!!! Ante up and lets start chattin biatches!!! oh yeah... once more..... ian somerhalder is HOTT!!!!!!!

Kip will be an okay Victor, but who the hell is going to play Bobby? Even though it would screw with the continuity of the films, Ian Somerhalder would be a great Bobby. He's beautiful enough and he can play dark roles as seen on Smallville. Shannen Doherty should never be in an Ellis film.

    [23] On Jun-04-2004, mike wrote:

if you think about it tho... we would say the same thing for james van der beek and jessica biel (that they should never be in an ellis role) but they really weren't bad. it would be nice the actor was an actual ellis fan who knew the characters, but i trust roger avery.

    [24] On Jun-05-2004, susan wrote:

Has anyone heard about the casting for Bobby? I know it won't be Ian S. I just hope they get it right since Bobby is central to the storyline. Maybe they could lure Johnny Depp in for the the role of Bobby. That would be freakin cool.

Why do u people hate Shannen Doherty? She would be perfect for the part. She's actually a really good actress.

just finished reading Glamorama for the third time , but the first since the American Psycho and Rules films were released. Glamorama being my favorite of the novels, was the one i wanted to see as a movie the most. I think setting the Rules film adaptaion in the present instead of the 80's and casting kip as victor has ruin any chance of it actulay being a decent film. Seeing how MR.Avery will most likely let both those errors spill over into the Glamorama film.... however one silver lining is that i remember talk of Leo Decaprio playing Patrick Batemen in the A.P. movie before it was Bale's .. .. so you never what might happen. But needless to say ill prob. see the movie no matter what, i love that book so much.

Johnny Depp's too old to play Bobby, and though he's really sexy, he doesn't have that beautiful-model-look which is imperative for someone who's going to be the Bobby character. I am extremely upset about Jennifer Garner...and, just btw, I thought Van der Beek was a pretty good Sean.
