If that's true then it means Ellis is finally out of ideas.

And how did you figure that out?

bring the excerpts back. there aren't that many. this site is for a certain sort of person and they would like to read it---believe me if bee did not want it on here you would hear from his agent.

I agree with Tony, if ellis is writing himself into his book the first thing I think is "Wow! That's really sad." Second is "Is Ellis becoming a Non-fiction writer?" and the last thing is "I hope he doesn't become the next Tom Wolfe."

I agree with Jamie.

can someone tell me what the hell's up with that random, lameass picture on the home page of this site. I feel like this is some kind of gay dancing blog. But even if the picture was on a gay dancing blog it would still be completely lame. Am I the only one that's enraged by this?

Its not a random picture - its from the cover of the German version of The Informers.

Well it's time for it to go.

Come on, man, if this picture bothers you, and this is only a blog, than what would you say about the US bitchass president?
And some of the best books I know are narrated by a their author, for example "A la recherche du temps perdu". Thats a quite common trick and I don't see anything sad in it.
[11] On Jan-19-2005, BTE wrote:
What the hell does the president have to do with that picture. I'm just saying it's been on there for way too long and it sucks. The site could use a little house cleaning. If you don't like my opinion than you can just get outis! (please note lame play on words)

I agree, whenever I go online to this site, and that picture pops up I am always afraid someone thinks I'm on some gay online chat line thing. Of all the international books covers of Ellis you really think this one is worthy of being on the home page?

Come on, this guy is tripping out and doesn't look gay to me. At all. Well, maybe a little bit. The shirt is fashionably retro, I agree. But what the hell, who cares about this picture anyway?

outiss, his face looks german to be but he definitely looks like a summer of 90 drugfiend-LA loser type richkid.

Ian, don't you mean a GAY summer of 90 drugfiend-LA Loser type rich kid?

Man, the guy from "LTZ" was kinda into the whole gay thing and maybe that is the point of this picture.

What's wrong with being gay? I just so happen to LOVE cocks -- especially when that white stuff shoots out. Sperm for everyone!

So anyway, I vote the picture gets changed.

it's not THAT bad, but it's definitly not anything even close to an image i think of when i think bret easton ellis.

The official release date for Lunar Park is October 7, 2005. I recieved a prompt e-mail from the publisher when I inquired. I think most of us feel it will be a great thing when it comes out and people in the business that have read it say it's brilliant.(And some that aren't!) I also think the picture at the top should be replaced once a month. It doesn't feel like a BEE page the way your Tarantino page does.
[22] On Jan-29-2005, mike wrote:
the creator of this page has a tarantino page??

Yes,as soon as you get to this site, if you look to the right under "Other Relevent Stuff", you can find and click on the link. It has some really nice content...

Now that we have nine months until Lunar Park gets released, can anyone recommend a book or two that someone into BEE would like. Something more obscure?
Would anyone recommend the book HEADLESS that's featured on this site, is it worth checking out?
If you haven't read THROAT SPROCKETS by Tim Lucas and your looking for something to hold you over, I think you may enjoy it.
