    Lunar Park Pre-Orders Open

Amazon has now opened up pre-orders for Lunar Park. The release date is listed as August 16, 2005, with a length of 320 pages.

The manuscript I read had 355 pages, so I'm interested to see if anything has been removed for the final version, or if its just formatting (font size, paper size) that accounts for the difference.

Does pre-ordering mean I will get it the day it comes out or that it will ship the day it comes out?

Unless it says otherwise, it means it'll ship that day.

Actually, if the manuscript was in proper format (12 point, fixed-width font, double-spaced) and it came in at 355 pages, in book form it would probably only be around 220 pages.

In general, it's about 1.5 pages of proper manuscript form per page of text in a book.
