Chip Kidd is fantastic, no doubt, but
it looks like a bad science fiction cover...If you were passing it on the shelf and you were not familar with Bret Easton Ellis's work, you would walk right past it.

What other books has he designed?

He's done over 1,500 book jackets.
As you may know, he did the HARDBACK version of Glamorama with the shotgun blast effect on the cover, with the celebrity's faces in the holes. He also came up with the idea of having the chapters count backward, like the ticking of a bomb.
He designed the Jurassic Park logo for Michael Crition, some Anne Rice covers, The Abomination, some David Sedaris covers, the Joe E.book American Rhapsody(the book is crap, but it is eye catching),Marc Shaffer bio of Marquis De Sade, Cormac Mccarthy's trilogy of books,Batman the Animated Series artbook and a recent example of what he is capable of is Mythology:The Art Of Alex Ross, and many comic book logos and graphic novels.
He is considered one of the best logo and book designers working today...

Wow this is a slow two weeks for Ellis fans! Does anyone agree? When is Ellis going to do interviews for his book Lunar Park? When is marketing going to happen?
