He has a fear of flying?!
How did that come about? Where did you read that?

I can't remember. Maybe I'm mistaking him for some other writer. Maybe it was Don Dellilo. I really can't remember. But besides from that, I do really wan't a signed copy, because I don't think he will pay a visit to Amsterdam. Or is he? Anyone?

I know Ellis has been to Europe before. He's discussed it in an interview. Then again, maybe he took the QE2, Victor Ward style.

Shortly after the release of American Psycho, an interviewer asked Ellis if he believed in God. This is what he replied: "Are you asking me if I was raised in a religious family or if I go to church? I was raised an agnostic. I don't know - I hate to fly, I have a fear of flying. That means either that I have no faith in air-traffic controllers or that I've done something really bad, and this is God's way of getting at me. Maybe I'm caught in the middle... But no, I don't believe in God. That's such a strange thing to admit in an interview."

Well, I'll post more for the sake of posting. While I too am interested in the book, I'm really interested in bringing a little literary art to this deprived section of the world that live in; Southeast Missouri. A place where ya'll and whichyadidya are part of everyday vernacular. Here's to you Ellis; whether you fly or don't, contantly look over your shoulder for fear if would be abductors, or drive a tractor to work - how about a laugh and a book.
Everyday is a holiday - every meal a banquet - the only way I stay sane in Poplar Bluff, MO.
