Gregor Jordan Talks About The Informers

Moviehole has an interview with Gregor Jordan about The Informers. He talks a bit about the reviews so far and says everyone was aware this would be a 'polarizing' film in terms of reviews.

We also might get to see all the cut vampire scenes in the DVD.

Possibly. I mean, it was very interesting trying to cut this movie, because the script was quite unwieldy. Well, you know, it was long and unwieldy. Because, you know, Bret put a lot in there. And what we decided to do was just shoot it all. Knowing that we were going to find the film in the cutting room, in a sense. So there was actually a lot of really fantastic scenes that aren't in the movie, that really deserve to get seen, I think. Because there's such - you know, as just sort of isolated scenes, I think they're really interesting moments. So whether or not that comes out on the DVD, or whether - you know, maybe they'll put it on the Internet, or something like that - you know, yes. know.

He better put the vampire stuff somewhere. I can see it being hard though, since it sounds like this movie's gonna bomb however it's released, or have a small cult following at best. With so little promise, I would think everyone involved would just want to move on to whatever's next.

Some major publications are saying its one of the best movies in years to come along...its just so horrible and controversial in theme and tone that many people will be polarized against it...and some will think its brilliant. Just wait and see, I think if you like Ellis's work you will love this movie, if you are dementedly optimistic than maybe you shouldn't be reading Ellis to begin with. Haha.
