    Lunch With Bret

A recounting of a lunch meeting with Bret Easton Ellis by Richard Wolstencroft. Is it just me, or does Bret have a 'not happy to be here' look in the pictures?

    Finishing The Golden Suicides Script

Bret had a Twitter update that he's finishing the script to The Golden Suicides.

This is such a odd story that it could make for an excellent film.

    Imperial Bedrooms Alternate Cover

So I was poking around the Amazon site after a commenter mentioned that Imperial Bedrooms was listed at 192 pages, and noticed some conflicting information and an alternate book cover.

The hardcover, audio and Kindle editions of the book are all listed with a June 15, 2010 release date, and the hardcover does indeed say 192 pages.

But there is another hardcover listed in the available formats. It has a release date of July 2, 2010 and a page count of 256. It also has this yellow background version of the cover we've seen previously.

    American Psycho, The Musical

Are we really going to get a musical version of American Psycho? That link is from 2008, so the idea has been out there for a while now.

Now there is new news that the Duncan Sheik has been hired to compose the music, so it appears this idea is moving forward. Here's what Duncan had to say about the idea:

...Sheik said that after re-reading Ellis' novel this summer, "I came to feel that what some people (including myself) may have seen as an over-the-top literary folly of the early nineties was in fact a pretty timeless tale of alienation and solipsism. And, really, what could be more subversive fun than murderous bankers breaking into song?"

So does that mean we are going to get a campy version of the book?
