    Glamorama Film Tie In Novel

Don't read too much into the previously mentioned Glamorama Film Time In novel. Its less meaningful than it would appear.

    Glamorama Film Tie-In Novel

A sliver of confirmation of the Glamorama movie? After first mentioning the possible 'film tie-in' version of the novel back in early March, Gavin emails me with this little gem from the Amazon UK site:

Glamorama Film Tie-In with a release date of Jan 5, 2007.

So, perhaps we can infer that although no announcement has been made, Avary's film adaptation of the novel will also be released during 2007. Does he finally have funding?

    Glamorama Rumor

Got this email late last week before the server crashed.
Just been sent a press release from Macmillan who are publishing a Glamorama film tie in edition of the book on the 5th of Jan 2007. Maybe some clue as to the release date of the film. - Jamie
Anybody else seen this press release? I've looked for it, and found nothing that could confirm that Macmillan is even planning to publish an edition of Glamorama to coincide w/ Roger Avary's film release.

I've also sent an email to a publicist at Macmillian to try and confirm.

UPDATE: More info on this rumor here.

    Glamorama Ramping Up?

Pure speculation on my part here since I can't reliably decipher Avary's journal entries, but if he's having dinner with Bret (is he even referring to Ellis?), it could be an indication.

    Cast of Glamorama Revealed!?

Could this be the actual cast of Glamorama? There's alot of names I've seen mentioned before, but its not exactly on a credible site (though they do link to this site - and the poster seems legit), so I'll just hold off on judgement. The main page to the mini-site is here. [link sent in by Lux]

    Victor Ward Has A Website

Yes, I'm talking about the Victor Ward character from Glamorama. He also has an interview in Youth Quake Magazine. There's also what appears to be a Glamorama publicity photo at the Victor Ward site. All of this was linked from Roger Avary's site (he's making Glamorama into a movie)

I'm not sure whats going on with all this, but it'll probably be clear a couple of weeks from now. But just to muck things up a bit more, there are rumors flying that Rance is actually Bret Easton Ellis. If you haven't heard of Rance within the last week or so, well it might just be too late for you.

    Rose McGowan In Glamorama?

This little article is from June of 2003, so it may be shit at this point, but it says that both Rose McGowan and Shannon Doherty have signed on for Glamorama.

Corrected Cast Info For Glamorama Movie

IMDB finally corrected the casting information for Roger Avary's adaptation of Glamorama to film. For quite a while now, they've been showing a handful of castmembers - including Robert Blake (currently standing trial for murder) - even though nobody has been cast for the movie yet. Oh, and yes, I know the casting info is blank - thats why its correct. :)

Roger Avary Adapting 'Glamorama' To Film

Roger Avary, who was responsible for bringing The Rules of Attraction to film is now working his way thru an adaptation of Glamorama for the big screen. Roger has some tidbits about the process in his website FAQ (scroll down to item #4).

One nice little trivia item can be found in the cast section of the IMDB entry for the film - the character Palakon is listed as being portrayed by Robert Blake. That one may be a bit difficult to pull off considering his current residence - a California prison.
