The Forum Returns - Lunar Park Giveaway!
In anticipation of the release of Lunar Park, I've re-activated THE FORUM. Its barebones at the moment, but I'm sure you all will warm the place up over the next couple of months. As an incentive to register for the forum, Knopf has kindly given me permission to:
Give away 5 signed copies of Lunar Park!
To qualify for the drawing, all you need to do is to register in the forums and make a few positive contributions to it over the next week or so. I'll cut off the entries on August 19th.
Make sure you use a valid email address when signing up for the forum (you do not have to make it public, I can see them all anyway) as thats how I'll get in touch with the winners. Good Luck!

2 Year Anniversary
I kind of missed the actual date, but April 29th was the 2nd anniversary of the launch of this website. Thank God for Lunar Park, because thats a long time to keep a new site going without any new material to work with.

Lets Do The Time Warp Again
If you've been here over the past few days, you probably noticed some problems with the server/layout/site etc. After the server committed suicide on Monday, I have finally managed to bring it all back to life.

Header Image Changed. Readers Rejoice
OK, you all finally beat on me enough about the header image on this site - so I've changed it. If you are still seeing the old image, try holding down the Control key while clicking on your browsers refresh button. If that doesn't work, clear your browser cache.

Forum Is Gone
I've had to remove the forum due to continued security breaches on the server. Both the script I was using (PHPBB) and PHP itself were recently discovered to have major security flaws and my entire server (13 websites) was trashed by a hacker because of it (twice within the last month). I had backups of everything so haven't lost any data, but I'm not willing to continue to run the risk of having the server compromised for the convenience of the forum. So, until I can find a solution that doesn't threaten the rest of the content located on this server, I'm killing the forum.

Version 2
As you can probably tell, I've changed the way things look around here. After about 18 months with the original design, I figured it was time to make the site more usable. So away go the tables, and in comes the CSS layout. If you have any display issues with the new design (Mac users, I could use your help here) take a screenshot of the problem and email me about it. There's nothing tricky going on in the code and its been tested on the latest versions of Mozilla, IE and Opera on the PC, so I don't expect anybody to have major issues.
Also, if you have suggestions for arranging or featuring content differently than its currently presented, speak up and maybe I can tweak a few things to make the site better for everybody.

Not An Exit FORUM
As promised, and as requested by a few readers, I've created a discussion forum for all things Bret Easton Ellis.I think we are a small enough community to not require registration for the board at this point, but as the Glamorama movie and Lunar Park get closer to reality, that will probably change in a hurry.
Anyway, enjoy. And if you have any problems with stuff not working on the board, my contact info is in the top right corner of this page.
UPDATE: As of 12-24-04, I've had to remove the forum due to continued security breaches on the server. Both the script I was using (PHPBB) and PHP itself were recently discovered to have major security flaws and my entire server (13 websites) was trashed by a hacker because of it. Until I can find a solution that doesn't threaten the rest of the content located on this server, I'm killing the forum.
